Wheelchair Uncle and Jeremiah 29:11

I was on my way to the supermarket and saw an old man in his wheelchair. I have seen this uncle multiple times. My memory was one day when I was still ill and I was walking very slowly below my block. The only other person was this old man in his wheelchair back then who was moving slower than me. He always looked stern and probably couldn’t really talk anymore in his state.

I was about to walk past him, this time moving much faster than him, when Holy Spirit prompted me to push his wheelchair for him. I hesitated and struggled. I have never approached a stranger to offer some help in my life and he looked stern. I decided to obey this prompting and approached the uncle, asked where he wanted to go to and slowly pushed him to the destination.

I felt a sense of joy as I obeyed the prompting of the Holy Spirit.

Later in the same day, God prompted me to search for a verse for a friend Mr A. Somehow I chose Jeremiah 29:11 for him. Separately I gave thanks to another friend Mr B. Mr B gave me back the same verse Jeremiah 29:11. I told Mr A that Mr B gave me back the exact same verse and Mr A mentioned that maybe this verse is also for me. True enough this became a very important verse for me and my family. This is the first verse that God gave to me personally.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
