Isaiah 41:10

10 May 2022

Recently I’ve heard many times that in my space, there’s a lot of well backed startups. In fact one Indian startup in our space became a unicorn in 2 years, the fastest ever.

Today I read in the news about another startup in our space by some well resourced founders and well backed by investors. I truly felt like David (vs Goliath). I’m more or less a one man show with no money and no resources fighting against all the giants. I went inside to pray. God immediately gave me Isaiah 41:10 I meditated on it and felt encouraged,

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10)

Right now and often times, I feel like the Israelites walking around Jericho during those 6 days and perhaps also on the 7th day. Feeling helpless as we walk. Each step comes with fear and yet hope. Walking around and watching nothing happen. Sometimes feels like stopping because it’s too much to bear physically and spiritually. The walls are tall and we cannot really imagine how God can give Jericho to us. Yet reminding myself that I need to trust and obey. And there’s no where else to go to anyway. Walking around Jericho is waiting. Active waiting. Nothing is happening in the “seen” world, trusting that God is working in the “unseen”.
